1. Introduction to our Booking Process
At Film Labs, we take pride in our commitment to our clients. When you book us for your special day, we exclusively reserve that time and date for you, turning away all other inquiries for the same period. Due to the nature of our business, our refund policy is strictly structured to protect the time and artistic dedication we commit to your event.
2. Retainer / Booking Advance
To secure your event date, a non-refundable retainer fee (usually a percentage of the total package) is required at the time of booking. This retainer is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, as it covers the administrative costs of setting up your account and compensates for the loss of potential business for your reserved date.
3. Cancellation by the Client
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your booking, the following conditions apply:
- Cancellation more than 60 days before the event: You will not be billed for the remaining balance. The initial non-refundable retainer will be forfeited.
- Cancellation between 30 to 60 days before the event: 50% of the total package cost will be due and non-refundable.
- Cancellation within 30 days of the event: 100% of the total package cost will be due. No refunds will be issued for any payments made.
4. Rescheduling Policy
If you need to reschedule your event, we will do our best to accommodate your new date, subject to our availability. If we are available, your retainer will be transferred to the new date. If we are already booked for your new date, it will be treated as a cancellation, and the standard cancellation policies will apply.
5. Cancellation by Film Labs
In the highly unlikely event that Film Labs cannot fulfill its obligations due to extreme emergencies, severe illness, or acts of God, we will make every effort to provide a suitable replacement photographer of equal skill and style. If a replacement cannot be found, you will receive a 100% full refund of all monies paid, including the retainer. Our liability is limited exclusively to the refund of payments received.
